Frequently Asked Questions
1. Q: What should I expect on my first visit?
a. Our receptionist will welcome you at the front door and lead you through our new patient Application4Care paperwork. After filling that out, you will receive a tour of our office and then sit down to meet Dr. Gunderson. Dr. Gunderson will go over your case history and listen to your health concerns. After your consultation, you will get an in-depth examination featuring our state-of-the-art technology, the Subluxation Station, to assist the doctor in finding the cause of your problems. Finally, if your case indicates, you will receive x-rays to determine the state of your spinal health.
2. Q: What happens on the second visit?
a. On the second visit to our office, the doctor will go over his report of findings. Dr. Gunderson will take his time explaining exactly what is wrong and may be causing your problems. You may choose to do your first adjustment at this time.
3. Q: Are the treatments safe & effective?
a. Yes, treatments at Health4Life are both safe & effective. Most people feel great during and after the adjustment! Occasionally some will have some soreness like you just worked out at a gym, but this is completely normal. We have a great track record of helping patients reach their goals.
4. Q: How much do your treatments cost?
a. It varies due to individual patient findings. People are different, so it goes to say that treatments need to be specifically tailored to the specific needs of the person. This is not a “one size (or pill) fits all” type of program. After a thorough review of your case, Dr. Gunderson will determine the course of care for your specific case and his staff will discuss any financial obligations prior to starting the program. Full transparency.
5. Q: Will my insurance cover the treatments?
a. Every insurance policy is different and the staff at Health4Life will check on your insurance coverage. We will advise you of any coverage or limitations of coverage when care is initiated.
6. Q: How long will it take to get better?
a. Again, every person is different and will respond uniquely to care. We will specifically tailor a care program that will get you the best results and are in accordance with your goals.
7. Q: Do you treat children?
a. We LOVE seeing children! Dr. Gunderson sees patients as young as a few hours old. Birth is traumatic to a baby’s spine and children fall many times early in life so getting their spines checked early on can save a future life of suffering. We are very gentle with babies and get great results.
8. Q: What do you treat?
a. As you will learn in our office, we don’t treat specific conditions, but help the nervous system function optimally. When we do this we have seen results on the typical back pains, but have also helped patients with scoliosis, asthma, constipation, colic, headaches, ADHD, autism, pregnancy, and much more!
9. Q: What if I just want to come in for wellness?
a. That is great! If wellness care is what you are looking for, we can help you reach even better health through chiropractic care, massage, proper nutrition & diet, and other healthy lifestyle choices.
